Though our company pays for the visa renewal fees
they do not reimburse the fees charged by agents who help get these renewed.
Last year I did it on my own and this year too I
decided it was really easy and not worth paying 700rmb as commission to the
agents.
This is the process, hope it helps all of you who
are trying to renew your visas on your own.
1. Renewal of Work Permit
This needs to be done at the the office at Xuanwu
District
Chinese address: 宣武区永内西街5号，中国北京劳动力市场一楼大厅
Closest subway station: Caishikou (Line 4) or Hepingmen (Line 2) will need to take a
cab/bus from there.
Documents required:
1. Police station registration certificate
2.Copy of your company's business licence
3.Application of your Employment Form, with a seal
from your company. (Application can be filled in English/ Chinese)
4. Valid passport and copy
5.Work Permit book
6. 2inch photo
The process takes 5 minutes and they give you your
renewed work permit book immediately.
2.Renewal of Z visa
Closest subway station: Yonghegong Lama Temple (Line2), walk east towards XiaoJie Bridge
Documents required:
1. Police station registration certificate
2.Application of your Visa Extension Form, with a
seal from your company. (Application can be filled in English/ Chinese)
3.Copy of your company's business licence
4. Valid passport and copy
5.Work Permit book - renewed + copy
6. 2inch photo
Go up to the first floor, take a token number and
submit relevant documents. They will take your passport and give you a receipt
of when they will return it to you with your renewed visa (usually 7 to
10 working days)
Both offices are open on all weekdays and Saturdays
from 09:00 am to 17:00 pm. (Closed on Sundays)
