Transit in Srilanka

It's been four months since we moved out of Beijing. We miss it way too much to describe it in a short post...So I'm just going ahead and getting straight to the point.

In all the Six and a half years we were in Beijing, we have always used Srilankan to fly back to India on holidays. And almost every time at least one way of our trip would have a transit of more than 8 hours in Colombo. The airlines put you up at a resort by Negombo beach, provide you meals and also a free ride from the airport and back.

On some trips we would try to make the most of our transit by exploring a part of Colombo (including hiring a boat for a ride on the sea , visiting Buddhist temples and shopping in the city), on others we would laze at the resort pretending to be on a short holiday.

Sharing a few pictures of our last trip out of Beijing via Colombo to Bangalore.
