Beijing Museum of Natural History - a quick Review

On the May day holiday we made a trip to the Museum of National History. We got off at Tiantandongmen station on Line 5 and took a taxi to the museum.

We read up online and were prepared for long queues. But surprisingly when we got there just before noon we didn't have to queue up. We showed our passports and received our passes at the entrance. The entry is free of cost.

The museum is easy to navigate and we covered all the halls in about an hour and a half. The cafe is just an open space so carry snacks if you plan to spend a long time there.

The most interesting is the Ancient Mammals and Dinosaur park which is also the most crowded.
We skipped the 4D movie shows. The souvenir shop sells overpriced toys so if you plan on buying something at the museum you may be disappointed.

All in all a good activity to take your kids to and worth a one time visit if you live in Beijing.
