2013 flew by so quickly! A lot of things have changed - for the better ofcourse.
Our little toddler has brought us so much happiness and joy and we are enjoying all the ups and downs of parenthood. Work-wise as well both of us are getting busier and we are trying as much as we can to maintain the work-personal life.
We had a very quiet New year's Eve but brought in New Year's day with brunch at FEAST , restaurant at the East Hotel next to Indigo mall. The brunch is 200 odd per person for a 3 course meal, excluding drinks.
Hoping for a nice and happy 2014, and wishing you all the same :-)

Winter in the Jing , can get really cold, dry and grey but do not fret...there are some fun activities you can do to have fun during the cold snap...
Ice Skating: Houhai or Shichahai Lake is quite popular this time of the year. You can rent skates or else bikes and chairs to have some fun.

Hotpot: Ofcourse the perfect remedy for a cold day is some nice food, and nothing can beat some yummy Hotpot.
Skiing: Beijing has many ski resorts where you can spend an entire day learning how to ski.
Ice sculptures at LongqingXia: If you are already dreading the cold and don't want to travel all the way to Harbin to enjoy the ice sculptures, you can head to Longqingxia at this time of the year.
Snow: This year snowfall is expected by mid January, the wait is worth to see the city covered in a blanket of snow. Makes the perfect white winter picture.

A decent 2 bedroom apartment in Chaoyang will cost 7000rmb upwards...depends on where in Chaoyang you are looking. The best way is to walk in to any of the property agent offices who will show you different apartments. They have staff who will be able to speak English as there are lot of expats living in Chaoyang.
