I recently discovered I could book a pick up and drop off courier via Alipay. They came to pick up the courier within 20 minutes of booking. It was hassle free and quite simple if you speak some basic Chinese.
Below is a step by step guide:
1. Go to the More option on Alipay
2. Click on My packages
3. Choose the first icon below
4. Select the last icon on the right hand side
5. You will now get a page to enter the From address, To address (all have to be in Chinese)
The type of courier (document/electronic/ food item etc) , Approximate weight.
Also you can choose a pick up time and you will be given options for the delivery date and time.
Documents being sent from Haidian to Chaoyang cost between 10 to 13yuan for delivery on same day.
You will only be sent a confirmation that your booking was successful and won't be charged while booking the pick up.
Your package will be assessed on pick up and payment can be made accordingly.
