Our favorite parks in Beijing

Beijing has plenty of beautiful and huge parks with lots of greenery and which are great for kids.

Some note worthy parks are the Chaoyang park which always have international fairs and events, the Jingshan Park which gives a bird's eye view of the Forbidden city and the Yuyuantan Park which is popular during the Spring season for the Cherry blossoms.

Our favorites are the South Forest Olympic Park and Si'de Park in Lido.

The Olympic Forest park was built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics , the better part of the Park is from the South Gate where there is also a play area for the kids. The park is great to visit throughout the year, but especially in Summer for the Sunflower display as well as in Autumn to see the golden Ginkgo leaves.

The Side Park is a smaller park in Lido , but is a very clean and well maintained park and has a lof of activities for kids. There is also a football pitch and tennis courts. It is a great place to spend a day if you live in this side of Beijing.

The Golden week holidays are coming up and we are trying to make the most of the awesome weather before it gets too cold. Happy holidays!
