Badaling National Forest Park - Autumn Foliage

Can't believe how quickly time flies...It's another Autumn already!
There are so many things that are so perfect about Autumn. Walking in the cold crisp air , the crunching when walking through fallen leaves, the smell of roasted chestnuts and sweet potatoes on the street and of course the spectacle of colorful autumn foliage.

Beijing is now at the peak of Autumn Season,  and the landscape around has become so much "Fall" like...

This year we made a trip to the Badaling National Forest Park to catch the autumn colors on the Great Wall. The easiest way to get here is by car. Though there are buses and also  the S2 line that you can take. It's less than a 2 hour drive from the city.
The view from the Red Cliff Ridge (Hong Ye Ling) is really worth the trip in the months of October or November.

Tips:

  • Price of the Ticket is 33 Yuan
  • No cable cars, have to hike up. The hike is comfortable and not steep.
  • Lesser crowds than at Fragrant hills especially during this time of the year.
  • Entrance to the Great Wall is closed so you can only hike through the park and not walk on the Wall.
