Beautiful Autumn (plus Restaurant Review: Moka Bros)

Autumn's such a beautiful season...Colorful leaves, smell of sweet potatoes and chestnuts...We are trying to make up the most of it before the long cold and grey winter sets in..

The best places to see the autumn foliage in Beijing is ofcourse Fragrant Hills or the Great Wall....but you'll find colorful leaves almost on every stretch of road or park... My favorite is our office compound in Haidian  (most pics below clicked there) and the Sanlitun-Dongzhimen stretch that looks golden yellow until all the leaves finally fall off...

We've been waiting to try out Moka Bros the new restaurant that opened up in Sanlitun's Nali Patio after all the great reviews we read. We finally got to try it out for brunch last Sunday with a friend of ours. The place is done up nicely with a big logo of the restaurant done by the "Plastered 8" brand. The downside is it's quite a small space and can get noisy on a weekend.
We ordered the onion soup,  avocado and shrimp salad, soba tofu noodles, red rice with steak and a  chicken and mushroom crepe .The salad was quite delicious but the soup was a bit bland and watery. My crepe was quite nice and filling too.The portions are quite generous. Service can be a bit slow. The bill came up to 400 rmb for the three of us. I'd definitely go back for the food but probably on a less busy day.

By the way hope you all had a good Halloween! Boo!
